LG G4c

What does the ‘c' stand for? Much as LG would never say it's the intention, ‘cheap' fits the bill pretty well. The LG G4c is a cut-down version of the LG G4, sharing its style but grafting it onto a smaller, more affordable phone.

Respectable screen ; Decent battery life

Laggy performance ; LG G4 similarity only skin deep ; Better value alternatives available

LG G4c review

LG hopes to conquer the budget market with its new smartphone

Great screen ; Comfortable design ; Good battery life

Limited RAM ; Only 8GB of memory ; Poor front-facing camera

The LG G4c is comfortable to hold, has a competent camera, good speakers and great battery life. Yet a lack of internal storage and the limited RAM stop it from reaching the same heights as its competitors.

LG G4c review: C for compromised

Upon pulling the LG G4c out of its box we were rather excited. This dinky looking version of the G4 has many of the design hallmarks that make the flagship model such a success, but with a 5-inch screen size making it an altogether more manageable...

Look and feel of G4 in a smaller package, decent camera performance, bright screen

Laggy performance, screen “sleeper” display issues, outsmarted by cheaper competitors, muddies the G4 name

Although we think the LG G4c has got the size and many of its design traits right, its laggy performance sends out the wrong message about the G4 namesake. It inadvertently compromises the flagship's integrity.

LG G4C review

The LG G4C is pitched as being a cheaper alternative to LG's luscious flagship G4 . Indeed, there are resemblances in the curved design of the phone, but the G4C has made some hefty compromises in order to arrive with a cheaper price tag.

The LG G4C's subtly curved screen is bright and bold, its camera is basic but takes decent shots and the battery should give you a good day of use.

Its weak processor and graphic-heavy software result in extremely sluggish performance, making even basic navigation frustrating. Its 8GB of built-in storage is basically useless.

Don't be swayed by the LG G4C's fancy display -- the new Moto G's superior performance and cheaper price makes it a much better buy.

LG G4c review: The LG G4 mini that makes too many compromises

We review the LG G4c, a mid-range Android phone that sits as a smaller, cheaper version of the flagship LG G4

Overall we are disappointed with the LG G4C. It is neither cheap enough to be truly budget, nor good enough to stand out in a crowded middle of the Android phone market. Battery life is great, performance poor.

LG G4c Review: In Depth

LG G4c review: We review the LG G4's baby brother, a 5-inch Android packing tons of great features and an 8-megapixel snapper.

Long battery life ; Rear mounted controls ; Feature packed

Disappointing camera ; Occasionally stuttery

The LG G4c is a seriously stripped back, affordable version of the G4 which manages to keep most of the useful features we know and love. It’s more easily handled than the G4 and the 720p screen is still solid, but the odd performance stutter and...

LG G4c tipped as cheaper take on flagship variant

A lesser-powered riff on the G4 recently appeared on a German retailer's website.

LG G4c review

  (Rating Hidden)

The LG G4c smartphone is a more affordable version of the premium LG G4. It certainly looks like its bigger (and more expensive) brother and the battery life is good. But do these similarities continue when it comes to performance? We examined this...

LG G4c Smartphone Review

I'd love to be a flagship. LG shrinks its LG G4 to 5-inches and an RRP of 279 Euros (~$306). The new G4c model sports a quad-core SoC from Qualcomm, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB internal storage, NFC, and LTE Cat. 4. Android 5.0.2 Lollipop is preloaded. The...

Build, Bright, viewing angle stable IPS screen, Very good battery life, LTE and NFC, Decent UI and smooth handling

Middling speaker, Camera module in low light, Moderate voice quality, Tiny internal storage, Inaccurate GPS

Buyers of LG's G4c will find a decent smartphone with a bright IPS screen and very good battery life at a price of approximately 250 Euros (~$274). However, flagship features should not be expected. LTE Cat. 4 and 802.11 b/g/n dual-band Wi-Fi alongside...

LG G4c review

The LG G4c is a cheaper, more compact version of LG's outstandingly good flagship G4 smartphone. Whilst it shares the stylish looks of the G4, the G4c misses out on many of its best features. However, for a phone costing around £200, it's still...

The G4c takes the design of a flagship phone, miniaturises it a little, and slashes the cost. So far, so good. Sadly though, it strips out the high-end features that make the G4 such an extraordinary phone. What's left is a good all-round mid-range...
