LG OLED Flex review: the first king of bendable gaming monitors

Bendable gaming monitor done right

Smooth, seamless, and auto bending ; Gorgeous picture quality ; Fast panel ; Lots of features beyond gaming ; Great port selection ; Doubles as a TV

Eye-wateringly expensive ; Takes up space ; Large OSD menu

The LG OLED Flex is a pricey proposition, but it’s also a truly impressive and versatile display that goes above and beyond a gaming monitor. Plus, the bending implementation is beautifully executed. If you can afford it and want to be an early...

LG G Flex review

The future of smartphones is here, but don't get too excited

Unqiue design ; Fantastic battery life ; Capable camera

Creaky build ; Display is average ; Childish icons ; Very expensive

A lofty price tag means the LG G Flex is out of many people's affordability and while the "flexible" feature is interesting, in it's current form it's little more than a gimmick. The G Flex is too ahead of the curve.

LG G Flex

If you can forgive the lower res screen, the G Flex offers all the goodness of the G2 with an added curvy cool factor

Distinctive design ; Great battery life ; Big screen ; Useful software touches ; High-res music capability

720p screen ; Camera could be better ; No microSD slot ; Expensive

There’s no doubt that the LG G Flex is an impressive phone. Its problem is it has a seriously capable smaller brother in the G2 at nearly half the price, and a number of big-screen competitors snapping at its heels with full HD screens.

LG OLED Flex initial review: LG finds a use for its bendy display, at last

We got to see the LG OLED Flex bendable display in action during IFA 2022 in Berlin.

20 possible degrees of curve ; All works automatically ; Uses the OLED Evo panel from the excellent LG G2 TV

It won't be cheap ; We haven't had a chance to hear the built-in sound yet

And thar's the rub. This is a superb concept that finally makes use of a technology that first wowed us many years ago. But, it is also premium and could well be out of reach of the audience it is best suited to. We'll eagerly await further details...

LG G Flex review

LG is the company of bendy screens, epitomised by the LG G Flex smartphone. While Samsung is pursuing the same goal, it is not quite at the same level. We do love the G Flex, because it's an interesting phone and one that worked for us. However, the...

Interesting design will 'turn heads', comfortable to use as a phone, amazing battery life, big screen is fabulous to use, high quality audio feature

OLED has noticeable grain on image, phone is big and heavy, sometimes feels a big laggy, far too expensive, no microSD slot, limited internal storage, expensive

We do love the G Flex, because it's an interesting phone and one that worked for us. However, the reality is that most people will find it's too big, too irregularly shaped and, most crucially of all, too expensive. There will, of course, be those for...

Hands-on: LG G Flex review - Pocket-lint

The LG G Flex is the company's first curved-display device, capturing an emerging trend that's only really seen one rival, in Samsung's Galaxy Round. Launched

LG G Flex video review: Phablet offers first curved screen experience

The design of the G Flex is striking although we've had to try hard not to call it the banana phone. It's certainly one you can show off to your mates down the pub but the novelty quickly wears off.

LG G Flex review

The LG is the first smartphone maker to give us a properly curved screen smartphone so here's our in-depth LG G Flex review.

The LG G Flex has some decent hardware including a great camera and more storage than usual. Excellent software is also a lure but its main feature, the curved screen, is too big, only 720p and offers no real benefits. This phablet is too gimmicky so...
