LG G Flex 2

The LG Flex 2 is the Korean company's second stab at a curved smartphone. Unlike the Galaxy Note Edge, this is a phone that's all curve from the screen to the predominantly plastic body. The original G Flex was packed with innovative, albeit ultimately...

Curved design is more manageable ; Sharp 1080p HD screen ; Improved low-light camera performance from G3

Some performance and overheating issues ; Curve not very useful ; Slightly tacky looking plastic back

LG G Flex 2 review

LG's new flexible phone has a higher resolution display and faster self healing powers

Curve really works ; Flexible full HD display ; Huge power

It's pretty big ; Battery not replaceable ; “Self-healing” back no good

LG G Flex 2 review

Has LG made the world's first great curved smartphone?

Deep blacks ; Strong contrast ; Lovely to handle ; Slightly flexible

Picture could be more subtle ; Sound could be more exciting ; Self-healing back easily damaged ; Occasional stability issues

A good multimedia device for standing out of the crowd – but not keeping ahead

LG G Flex 2 review

This curved Android phone flexes with more muscle

Smaller 5.5 inch display ; Flexible and durable build ; Speedy Snapdragon 810 chip ; Improved camera features ; Android 5.0 Lollipop

Inconsistent CPU speeds ; Battery not swappable ; Curve still doesn't add much ; Easily scratched self-healing back ; Pricier than LG's flagship

LG's G Flex 2 is the company's second attempt at making a curved, flexible smartphone, and it's like the first try with properly bumped-up specs and a more manageable 5.5-inch screen.

LG G Flex 2 review: Is curved the new cool?

The G Flex is back and better than before as LG has another crack at the curved smartphone format. Overall the LG G Flex 2 has plenty to offer, and not just because it's curved. There's lots of power and it performs well, even if we couldn't detect a...

Unique design not just a gimmick, plenty of power, great camera performance

Display isn't the best quality, LG's software is a little insensitive of Lollipop, battery life isn't great

Overall the LG G Flex 2 has plenty to offer, and not just because it's curved. There's lots of power and it performs well, even if we couldn't detect a huge real-world increase in performance over the last generation of Snapdragon hardware.

LG G Flex 2 Review: In Depth

The LG G Flex 2 is here, with better design and premium specs than the original LG G Flex. But is it any good? Here's our full LG G Flex 2 review.

Improved design ; Great camera ; Full HD

Occasionally sluggish ; Not so scratch resistant

We weren’t entirely sold on the original LG G Flex, which was just a little too bulky and gimmicky, not to mention overpriced given the middling specs. Thankfully the G Flex 2 sports a much nicer form factor and a Full HD screen, plus one of the best...

LG G Flex 2 review

Second time around the curved phone makes a lot more sense

Lovely curvy ergonomics ; Mighty CPU ; Bags of features

Not the very best in terms of camera or screen ; Plastic back feel ; Not the most stylish UI

Second time around the curved phone makes a lot more sense – the G Flex 2 is a proper phone with proper appeal

LG G Flex 2 review: LG's hero phone has finally arrived

With the latest Snapdragon processor and a sharper display, the G Flex 2 aims to show that real smartphones have curves.

The LG G Flex 2 sports a uniquely immersive and comfortable arched design, a sharp 1080p display, the latest Snapdragon 810 processor and a scratch-resistant coating.

The device's camera takes muted photos, its battery capacity is smaller than its predecessor, and performance can be slow at times.

No longer just a daring experiment, the G Flex 2 finally has the killer screen and top-of-the-line processor that its bold design deserves.

LG G Flex 2 hands-on at CES 2015: Curved smartphone gets nice upgrades

Ok, we weren't very impressed with the original G Flex which was something of a concept phone. The curve seemed like a gimmick and more a showcase of what the firm could do rather than something consumers genuinely wanted or needed.

LG G Flex 2 hands-on review

The original G Flex was an interesting idea. We had seen curved displays used in other products such as TVs but not a smartphone. Its convex design was ergonomic (and made far more sense than Samsung's Galaxy Curve which curved side-to-side). However,...

It's great to see LG come back with a follow-up to the original G Flex which look and feels better and comes with a ton of improvements. It’s the first exciting smartphone of the year and likely to be the best we see at CES 2015.
