Lenovo Legion Phone Duel review: A god among gaming phones?

The Legion Duel offers some standout features - pop-up camera, dual charging - but does that make it a true gaming phone champion?

Designed around gamers ; Great sound quality ; Loads of power and performance ; Super-fast charging speeds

Software buggy ; Gets warmer than you might expect ; Cameras are a little inconvenient

When it comes to gaming, there's little better, with optimised design and software additions to boost the gaming experience. There's a trade-off in daily usage based on that design - but you do get a lot of (gaming) phone for your money.

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Review: Overcharged Gaming Phone - UNBOX PH

Does Lenovo have a winning gaming phone with the Legion Phone Duel? Check out our full review here.

Gaming-optimized features ; Virtual side buttons that work as triggers ; Front-facing cam works great as a streaming camera ; Powerful internals make short work of any Android game

The design is a little too gamer for most people ; Front-facing camera positioning makes it hard to use as a regular selfie cam ; The rear camera position is weird ; No accessories available for it yet

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Review

As a former game developer, I kept a distant eye on the rise of Gaming phones, especially in the past couple of years. They started as...

144HZ AMOLED Display ; Portrait Mode Selfie for Streaming ; Excellent Performance ; Industry-Leading Charging Speed ; Powerful Front Speakers

FHD+ Resolution Only ; Not Available in The U.S (Yet)

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel (aka Lenovo Legion Phone Pro in some regions) is the first Gaming Phone that picked my interest. Gaming Phones are in a category that has been rising steadily since 2017, with an interest spike since April of this year,...

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel review: Level up your mobile gaming

Our Lenovo Legion Phone Duel review takes a look at Lenovo's first gaming smartphone which features some pretty cool gaming-centric features.

Love the gaming-centric blue design ; Excellent specifications and performance ; Great positional sound ; Pop-up selfie camera works well, nicely tucked away when not in use ; Decent battery life with extremely fast charging (full charge in 30 minutes)...

Not available in North America ; Under display fingerprint scanner doesn't always register the first time ; Not every game supports shoulder buttons or haptic feedback ; No 3.5mm audio jack

Lenovo Legion Duel review: The coolest gaming smartphone on the market

The Lenovo Legion Duel is the cool and trendy alternative to the Asus ROG Phone 3, offering a mode specially designed for streamers.

AMOLED FHD+ 144 Hz display ; 5,000 mAh battery ; 90-watt fast charging supported ; Powerful Snapdragon 865+ chipset ; Temperature regulation ; Pop-up selfie camera

Limited streaming mode ; Boring design ; Rear camera module less than impressive ; Poor software support

The Lenovo Legion Duel is definitely the coolest gaming smartphone on the market. I love the approach of the manufacturer who refuses to make any compromises and doesn't care about seducing a larger, more mainstream and casual audience. The Lenovo...

Lenovo Legion Phone Duel Review – Powerful But Needs That Oomph Factor

Looking for a new gaming smartphone that's a bit out of the usual? Check out our Lenovo Legion Phone Duel review and see if this is for you.

+ Excellent performance ; + Decent stereo speaker experience ; + 144Hz refresh rate ; + Surprisingly good camera ; + RGB lighting ; + Pop-up selfie camera orientation is ideal for streaming ; + Ultrasonic buttons are a great addition for gaming

- At high refresh rates, the colours become a little dull ; - A little pricey ; - Competition offers more value for their gaming phones ; - Battery life could be better ; - Worries of longevity of pop-up camera module ; - No headphone jack

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel is a good gaming phone and it's certainly one that is worth considering over its competition.
