Huawei Mate 10 Lite review

There's a growing list of phones out there for you if you're not able or willing to spend big bucks on something from Apple , Samsung or Google . The OnePlus 5T , for instance, offers flagship performance from $499. If you just need the basics, Moto's...

Huawei’s Mate 10 Lite gives you enough power and a fantastic design, including a 5.9-inch screen framed by small bezels, for less than $400.

Its dual cameras on the front and back are more style than substance, and its battery life, while acceptable, could be better. It's also lacking NFC or water resistance.

The OnePlus 5T is still the midrange king, but Huawei’s Mate 10 Lite is a great choice if you can get it.

Huawei Nova 2i

Huawei's Nova 2i is proof that luxuries such as large 18:9 displays and dual-cameras are not the preserve of flagship smartphones. Check out what we thought about this budget Android in our Nova 2i review.

This phone gives you a big screen for a little price

Huawei's Mate 10 Lite gives you a big screen and four (4!) cameras for an affordable price.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite Smartphone Review

Chunky mainstream. Apart from the display size, the Huawei Mate 10 Lite does not have much in common with its namesake, the Mate 10 Pro. The Lite costs less than half as much as the Pro and is a very alluring mid-range smartphone. Our extensive review...

high-quality aluminum case ; two dual cameras ; expandable storage ; dual SIM ; decent GPS ; decent system performance

no NFC ; no aptX ; no ac Wi-Fi ; poor GPU performance

The smallest and most affordable member of the Mate 10 family turned out to be very interesting indeed. Unfortunately, the competition in its chosen field is immense, and the Mate 10 Lite’s one and only unique feature is its 18:9 5.9-inch display with...

Huawei Mate 10 Lite Review

With an edge-to-edge screen and dual cameras with portrait mode on the front and the back, the Mate 10 Lite is a phone we were eager to test…

Good value for the money ; (Mostly) Smooth performance in daily use ; Nice 2:1 display with premium oleophobic coating ; Sturdy build quality ; Good camera quality in daylight ; Plentiful storage ; Emotion UI has some useful options

Rather poor video recording quality ; Not great for low-light photos ; Outdated microUSB port rather than USB-C ; Emotion UI icons and styling look outdated ; Battery life is just okay, charging is slooow ; No extras like water-proofing or wireless...

Review: Huawei Nova 2i – big phone for a small price (review)

The Huawei Nova 2i has been around since late last year. It hit the market at $499, but a recent price drop to $399 makes it a worthy competitor in the

5.9", 18:9 screen is way above what you expect for $399

Acceptable compromises for the price

Huawei Nova 2i smartphone review - first with dual lens cameras front and back

There is a lot to love about the new Huawei Nova 2i – it has a generous 5.9-inch display and a sleek design and it's the first smartphone with dual lens cameras on the front and back. Give the people what they want, is probably what Huawei was thinking...

Affordable, feature-packed, dual lens cameras front and back, sleek design, large 5.9-inch display.

No NFC, not water resistant, has older microUSB port.

The Huawei Nova 2i is another example of a device that packs in a lot of top-shelf features and a mid-level price. If you’re looking for a value smartphone priced below $500 that punches well above its weight, then the Huawei Nova 2i should be on your...
