First we had the Diamond. Now we have the Pro. How does HTC's latest Touch smartphone stack up?
Though they are similar in so many ways, I feel that the HTC Touch Pro is a much more accomplished phone than the Touch Diamond. It may be thicker and heavier but it provides a much more valid alternative to the iPhone, and that is simply due to its...

Slim, powerful and packed full of features, this phone is about more than just looking good
Slide-out QWERTY keyboard ; Responsive touch screen ; TouchFLO 3D ; Integrated GPS ; 3.2 megapixel camera ; HSDPA high-speed data connectivity ; Wi-Fi ; MicroSD card support
Heavy and chunky body ; Small onboard memory ; No 3.5mm headphone jack
It's a chunkier alternative to HTC's Diamond Pro, but has enough extra power and features to get the job done and more

When the HTC Diamond came out in the June many saw it as an iPhone challenger for the Windows crowd. Adding the keyboard to the HTC Diamond will appease those who liked the interface but didn't want to get all touchy-feely with it.
Screen, pull out keyboard, HSDPA
BIG, battery life not great, no 3.5mm headphone jack
Adding the keyboard to the HTC Diamond will appease those who liked the interface but didn't want to get all touchy-feely with it.

HTC's new latest smartphone is essentially the Touch Diamond with a QWERTY keyboard. But will it excite the city boys?
An unconvincing touch UI ruins the most stylish QWERTY Windows Mobile phone we’ve pawed

A full slide-out QWERTY keyboard is a real blessing when composing emails and messages
You may struggle to cram this device into your trouser pocket

We review the HTC Touch Pro - a Windows Mobile smartphone with HTC's attractive TouchFLO 3D user interface
Small ; Super keyboard ; Intuitive TouchFLO 3D interface ; Wi-Fi and GPS
No 3.5mm headset jack ; Battery life could be better
A great improvement on the Touch Diamond, the Qwerty keyboard is the icing on a very pleasant cake

Last week, we took a look at the BlackBerry Storm 9530 from Telus Mobility. In that review, I said that while Research in Motion made the “bold” move with a clicking touchscreen, the Storm isn't quite up to par with devices like the iPhone just yet....
This week, we shift gears over to the realm of Windows Mobile 6.1 to find the HTC Touch Pro from Telus Mobility. This smartphone is very similar to the Touch Diamond, except it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to ease you into your emails, text...

The Touch Pro is HTC's follow-up to the Windows Mobile 6.1 Touch Diamond. That earlier device disappointed in several ways, not least poor battery life and a clunky TouchFLO interface. The Touch Pro is small and ...
It is expensive, but the Touch Pro is everything the Touch Diamond should have been and more. If you have the money and are small-fingered enough to cope with the keyboard, then it is definitely worth considering.
