HTC One XL

Can HTC's One XL rival Samsung's Galaxy SIII LTE for the 4G crown?

Great screen, Fast 4G download speeds, Good camera, Fast performance

No removable battery, No removable storage, Doesn’t come with Jelly Bean

HTC One X

HTC's new flagship packs in plenty of goodies but is it the one... to buy?

Stunning HD screen ; Superfast quad core processor ; Excellent 8MP camera ; Android 4.0 is a great OS

Grey finish is a bit dull ; Camera has no shutter button and is 'only' 8MP ; A few silly ergonomics slip ups ; No removable storage (microSD)

Under the HTC's screen are the three navigation buttons, which although touch sensitive, are not part of the main touchscreen. This breaks somewhat with Google's rules, as it wanted to promote moving to completely virtual touch buttons, but most...

HTC One X review

New flagship brings quad core power - but is that enough to boost the brand?

Great screen ; Stunning design ; Powerful processor ; Quality camera

Iffy battery life ; No microSD slot ; Video grainy

The One X is one of HTC's best handsets to date, and sets a very high bar for 2012.

HTC One X

Headlining a new, simpler, HTC is the HTC One X. It leads the charge of a trio of handsets in the HTC One series and brings with it specs that are impossible to ignore. It is, perhaps, a defining phone for 2012, one of the first to arrive that offers...

Design, display, power, Sense 4 and Android 4, does so much out of the box

Keyboard eats space, no SD card slot, some camera niggles, Locations default over Google Maps

With the HTC One X we were prepared not to be disappointed, but that isn't the case. HTC's attention to detail in design has created a device that looks great as well as being practical to use. Yes, it's large, but it works as a large device and the...

HTC One X review

The device has a nice but subtle curve to it making it nice to hold in the hand with the only intrusion to its slender 8.9mm profile being the large camera lens on the rear.

The HTC One X is a superb all-round smartphone offering smooth performance, a stunning screen and a nifty camera, albeit with only a day's worth of battery life. It's easily the best Google smartphone of the year to date.

We can point to a few niggles here and there: no camera button, no visual indicator to show when a shot has been taken, the frequent appearance of an ugly ‘Menu’ button on non-ICS optimised apps (partly a result of HTC’s decision not to use virtual...
