The phone for the person who truly wants it all. 3D camera, 3D screen, dual-core processor - the Evo 3D has the lot.

3D can be impressive, Large, high resolution screen, Very fast, HTC interface can be superb

3D can be horrible, Large and bulky handset, HTC interface can be frustrating

HTC Evo 3D review: Hands on

More than a gimmick, the HTC EVO 3D takes its 3D credentials to its core with specs free 3D on a smartphone

Vodafone announced yesterday that it will stock the HTC EVO 3D when it comes to Blighty in July or August but there's no word on price yet. Will give you a full verdict and score when HTC sends the Evo 3D in to review.

HTC Evo 3D review

Is 3D on a phone a killer feature or pointless gimmick?

3D recording ; Large, responsive screen ; Easy 2D-to-3D switch ; Fast dual-core 1.2GHz processor ; Snappy Sense UI

Shoots 3D video in 2MP quality ; Screen not as colourful as competition ; No 3D section in UI ; Bulky chassis design ; Heavy in the pocket

A disappointing ever that seems oddly unsupported by HTC.

HTC EVO 3D

Now that you can pick up touchscreen smartphones for pocket money prices, premium mobiles have to find other ways to differentiate themselves. 3D is the perfect solution, adding a gloss of techno-cool to imaging and gaming, and promising yet more to...

Real 3D photos, vids and games without glasses, fast pseudo-4G data, double-barrelled dual-core power, lovely HTC Sense interface

3D is mostly a gimmick, low on memory, on the chunky side

Some innovations are push and are others are pull. When DVD first arrived, people couldn’t upgrade from VHS fast enough. But when Blu-ray rolled around, the day-to-day advantages were not so clear. 3D definitely falls into the latter camp. It’s great...

HTC EVO 3D hands-on - Pocket-lint

HTC has gone 3D, following LG into the market with the Sprint HTC EVO 3D. But is it a gimmick or the next best thing? We've just grabbed a hands-on

HTC Evo 3D Review: In Depth

The HTC Evo 3D is the first 3D smartphone from HTC; it has a stereoscopic camera set up that can pictures and video in 3D as well as 2D. Like LG's Optimus 3D before it, this is aimed at early adopters…

HTC EVO 3D review

I'm not sold on 3D for consumer devices, and I'm certainly skeptical of it on a smartphone-size screen. However HTC makes great phones, so I decided to keep an open mind about the HTC EVO 3D. Did the EVO 3D change my opinion of 3D phones? Well, let's...

The EVO 3D is a powerful phone - 3D or not. My opinion of 3D remains pretty much the same: It is fun to watch short videos in 3D or take 3D photos, but it is definitely still a novelty feature. That said, the EVO 3D's design is gorgeous, and the...

HTC Evo 3D (Sprint) review

We think it's pretty fair to say that the HTC Evo 4G was one of the best and most popular Android smartphones of 2010. Now, just a little over a year later, we have its successor, the HTC Evo 3D. Introduced at CTIA 2011 , the Evo 3D will be available...

The HTC Evo 3D improves on its predecessor with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and a larger battery. The Android Gingerbread smartphone also features a glasses-free 3D display and can capture 3D photos and video.

The smartphone doesn't offer much internal memory, and call quality could be better. The glasses-free 3D display has limited viewing angles and depth of field.

The 3D features are a fun addition, but it's the HTC Evo 3D's zippy performance and improved battery life that make this Android smartphone one of Sprint's best.

The phone is fast and responsive when handling any task, but also comes with a size penalty. It measures 65mm wide by 126mm long by 12.05mm thick and weighs a hefty 170g. Ultimately, unless you’re going to be using the 3D regularly then you’ll find a...
