HTC 10 Evo

It's been a great year for HTC. Its HTC Vive virtual reality headset was a hit – and picked up the prestigious Product of the Year gong at the TrustedReviews awards – and the HTC 10 was a return to smartphone form.

HTC 10 Evo review

An impressive, but confusing, phone

Strong audio performance ; Great design

Lower spec chipset ; Screen less impressive than the 10

HTC knows how to make good phones, and the 10 Evo is no exception. However, the odd price point, lower specs and lack of headphone jack might make this a tough sell.

HTC 10 Evo Review: In Depth

HTC 10 Evo review: The HTC 10 Evo may look like a premium smartphone on the outside, but does its unorthodox internal makeup mesh with its sleek exterior?

Great screen ; Premium build ; Solid cameras

Chunky design ; Dated processor ; Expensive

The HTC 10 Evo is a great phone, but it’s also a strange phone. On the surface it looks and feels like a tight flagship-class device reaching towards a full five stars, packing a killer screen, solid cameras, water resistance, USB-C and even shedding a...

HTC 10 Evo review

UPDATE: UK price and score - The phone the HTC 10 should have been, and closer to the price it should have been too

Top-notch design and display ; Minimal Android tweaks ; Great value

No headphone jack ; Camera quality is only average ; Last year’s CPU can’t cut it against big-name rivals

Ticks all the boxes for a great mid-ranger, and undercuts OnePlus at the same time. It’s not the best, but it is a bargain

HTC 10 Evo review: hands-on with HTC's new phone

?Known as the HTC Bolt in the US, the HTC 10 Evo is the name for the new phone in the UK. Here's our hands-on review of the HTC 10 Evo, plus release date, specs and features.

Although HTC hasn't confirmed the price yet, it says the 10 Evo will be the best in its class - of £450 to £500 phones. However, that conveniently ignores cheaper phones such as the OnePlus 3 which has a faster processor, more RAM and more storage, and...

HTC 10 Evo review: How to ruin a solid flagship’s good name

The HTC 10 Evo looks like the HTC 10… but it's a cruel trick

The Evo is the title is supposed to stand for “Evolution” apparently, but while this is demonstrably different from the HTC 10, it’s almost always through long strides backwards. It’s slower and less comfortable to hold, with a weaker screen and...

HTC 10 Evo review: Hands on with the rehash of the HTC 10

The HTC 10 morphs into the HTC 10 Evo and gets rid of the headphone jack

HTC says it doesn’t want its latest smartphone to directly compete with its older flagship, but considering the HTC 10 Evo is set to cost about the same as the HTC 10, with an ever-so-slightly improved list of specifications, it’s all but assured that...

HTC 10 evo review: The sea dragon

Metal unibody with rugged, waterproof design ; 5.5" Super LCD3 with 1,440 x 2,560px resolution (534ppi) ; Sigh... Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 - quad-core Cortex-A57 @ 2.0GHz, quad-core A53 @ 1.5GHz w/ Adreno 530; 3GB of RAM ; Android 7.0 Nougat with HTC...

Snapdragon 810 is inefficient, quickly gets hot and throttled ; 32GB is the only storage option, really? Plus, you lose at least 8GB of that to the system ; Small battery capacity, considering the QHD screen and the chipset ; USB-C headphones are rare,...
