Google Pixel 4a Review : A flagship camera without the price

Review: The Pixel 4a is finally here and it's pretty much exactly what we expected based off past leaks, which is no bad thing.

Great camera;Refreshingly small size for an Android phone; The promise of fast updates;Nice, sharp OLED screen;Affordable

You’ll find competition with far larger spec sheets and feature lists; Some mild performance and touch latency hiccups; As well as being a Pro, the small screen might put some off

Google Pixel 4a review

The Pixel 4a won't wow you with specs, but the cutesy handset has impressive photographic capabilities.

One-handed use possible Powerful single camera Headphone jack

Mediocre battery life No 5G (yet) or wireless charging Cheaper-feeling design

The compact size, clean interface and great point-and-shoot camera of the Pixel 4a will appeal to those looking for an affordable, reasonably sized handset with enough grunt to handle the basics, plus the ability to capture some excellent pictures.

Google Pixel 4a review: Small but mighty

Google's mid-range phone is back - but can it compete in the mid-range segment?

Great camera ; Plenty of power ; Great display ; Compact format ; Clean Android software ; Great speakers

Battery life a little variable ; Might be too small for some ; Not the latest hardware

As a mid-range phone we can hardly fault what the Pixel 4a offers. It's very capable and delivers a great camera experience. Some people might find it a little too small, but for those looking for a compact phone we can't really see why you'd need to...

Google Pixel 4a

Google's long-awaited Pixel 4a is a great mid-range smartphone, but will appeal to a more niche crowd due to the lack of 5G support and its 60Hz display

Google Pixel 4a Review

It's official: you don't need to splash the cash for a great camera on a phone anymore. Instead, you just need to pay £349 for the absolutely fantastic Google Pixel 4a. Read on for our full thoughts on this mini Android phone you shouldn't ignore.

– Camera, battery life and screen

– Slightly dull design, missing a few big features and availability

Google Pixel 4a is a small phone that’s easy to recommend. It has a camera we’d pay more than double for, a great screen and enough power to get the job done. It ditches some luxuries, but for £349 we’re not going to complain too much. If only we...

Google Pixel 4a review

Google's latest affordable Android puts software first - for better or worse

Streamlined Android experience with guaranteed updates ; Camera quality competes with flagship rivals ; All-day battery life

Few standout features on the hardware front ; Plastic build gives away budget nature ; Expandable storage still a no-go

Google nails the software side of its no-frills phone and camera smarts give it an edge over costlier competitors, but the 4a’s restrained hardware can’t set pulses racing like the OnePlus Nord

Google Pixel 4a review

The Google Pixel 4a is Google's cheapest 2020 phone, but it still packs in some flagship features.

Flagship-quality camera ; Great interface ; Good value

Plastic back ; 60Hz refresh rate ; Average battery life

The Google Pixel 4a takes two of the best things from flagship Pixel phones (namely their camera capabilities and interface) and sticks them in a much cheaper handset, with just a few compromises. It's not for everyone, but if you like Google's phones...
