It's no secret BlackBerry's had a tough time of it in the smartphone market recently. Despite having great security software and having migrated from its less-than-popular BlackBerry 10 OS to Android, the company's phones have continued to play second...

A great phone with a rubbish name
Great design ; Powerful CPU ; Excellent security
Average camera ; Gaming performance could be better ; Design won't suit all taste
The DTEK60 mixes excellent specs with a gorgeous design and super-secure software, to effortlessly claim the title of BlackBerry's best touchscreen smartphone to date, and earn its place as one of the best Android phones of 2016.

BlackBerry has officially stopped building and designing its own phones. When that news broke , it was almost as dramatic as when it announced its first Android phone, the keyboard-equipped Priv . For BlackBerry, coming out with a flagship phone at the...
Attractive design, fast and fluid performance, that great big display and Quad HD resolution looks great, solid battery life, BlackBerry Hub is great
Camera struggles when lighting conditions aren't perfect, camera protrudes a lot too, small gap between glass and metal in our review model
For BlackBerry, coming out with a flagship phone at the right price was always going to be a challenge. With the DTEK60, the £475 price point is halfway between the super value-for-money OnePlus 3 and the more traditional flagships like the Galaxy S7...

BlackBerry DTEK60 Review: BlackBerry's new DTEK60 doesn't come with a flagship price tag but packs a powerful processor and enhanced security features.
Smart modifications to Android ; Great performance ; Premium design ; Solid cameras
Awkward fingerprint sensor ; Lacklustre screen
The DTEK60 is a phone of firsts for the company with the best hardware and software we’ve ever seen in a BlackBerry. From its large, high-resolution display to its powerful processor, Type-C USB port, fingerprint sensor and intelligently adapted take...

Reports that BlackBerry is out the smartphone game are misleading – outsourcing design doesn't mean the company is down and out. The DTEK60 proves the brand can still turn out a high-end, secure phone. Here is our BlackBerry DTEK60 review.
For the first time in a while, this is a BlackBerry we can recommend to the individual consumer. It is also a business device, but the flexibility of Android means it is versatile enough to be moulded to the needs of both. It marries the Android...

Cast your mind back a few years and you'll remember BlackBerry mobile phones being among the trendiest you could own. Now, the brand is aiming to rekindle this sentiment with the launch of stylish smartphones, such as the DTEK60. It's hardly cheap, but...

Is BlackBerry's new business smartphone enough to secure the company's future?
Strong focus on security; Good business productivity apps;
Poor performance; Few unique features;
BlackBerry's latest Android phone features sub-par performance, a disappointing user experience and little to help it stand out from the crowd.

BlackBerry's Lifeboat? With the DTEK60, BlackBerry delivers a well-equipped Android smartphone, backed with the company's renowned reputation for security. But is it enough to save the company?
very bright screen ; broad color-spectrum coverage ; good cameras ; decent loudspeaker volume ; additional security features ; long battery life ; very stable construction ; USB-OTG (on-the-go) specification ; precise touchscreen ; impressive system...
relatively slow Wi-Fi speeds ; somewhat imprecise GPS ; mediocre color fidelity ; slow memory access ; some apps do not start or crash ; high power usage under load
Learning from its recent missteps, BlackBerry introduces the new DTEK60, which offers a more than adequate smartphone at a reasonable price-point. The product’s shining feature is its improved security enhancements, which in the age of cyber-attacks is...

The BlackBerry DTEK60 succeeds with an elegant design and decent specs. But its focus on security and productivity might fail to elicit much excitement from non-business users.
Polished design, good battery life and performs well in day-to-day use. The 21-megapixel camera takes detailed images and shoots 4K video. And messaging's a breeze.
The fingerprint sensor is finicky. Low-light photos look bad. The phone lacks water-proofing and its security features are a bit overhyped.
The DTEK60 is a fast, capable phone. Its focus on productivity and security will make business users quite happy. As for the rest of us, the phone is rather vanilla.

The BlackBerry DTEK60 is the most powerful and elegant BlackBerry device released. It stands out from other Android smartphones with key functions and features that enhance efficiency and improve productivity.
