Asus Zenfone Max review: Great battery paired with an average camera

The Snapdragon 615 chipset inside the Asus Zenfone Max is now old, and this becomes obvious when you realise that there are newer and faster smartphones out there sporting the same Rs 9,999.

Asus ZenFone Max Smartphone Review

Long, longer, ZenFone Max. Asus launches a smartphone on the market that follows one goal: The ZenFone Max is to achieve ultimate battery life. This begins with the hardware in the form of a strong 5000 mAh battery and ends with energy-saving software...

low temperature ; very long battery life ; dual-SIM ; bright, high-contrast screen

720p resolution ; weight ; GPU & CPU performance ; slow flash memory

The ZenFone Max does not really provide a great performance bundle of CPU, GPU and memory access times in view of the price. In return, the mid-range handset scores with its very long battery life and up-to-date Android. But the latter would be...

Asus Zenfone 3s Max Review

The Asus Zenfone 3s Max does last long, but there are much better and more dependable smartphones out there.

Long battery life

Sub-par performance ; Sub-par camera ; Battery life doesn't justify 720p display

The Asus Zenfone 3s Max is a battery-centric smartphone, and it does last long. However, at Rs. 14,999, the compromises make little sense. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 offers just an hour or lesser battery life and gives you a better camera and performance....

Asus ZenFone Max ZC550KL

Better, but still not the best

Good performance ; Well built ; Good battery backup

Camera could have been better

The Asus Zenfone Max (2016) is a good upgrade over the original smartphone in terms of performance and maintains the commendable battery life, but except that, it is still dragging all its shortcomings from the first iteration.

Asus Zenfone Max: Talk All Day

This otherwise ordinary phone has one thing going for it - a 5,000mAh battery

Huge capable battery, Great price for the 2GB version, Comfortable screen, despite the resolution, Sturdy, Looks fantastic in orange, Not bad camera, Comes with Android 6.0.1

Awful amount of intrusive bloatware, Middling processor spec

Asus Zenfone Max Review

The new Zenfone Max runs on Android Marshmallow but the ZenUI interface makes it more or less similar to use.

The new Zenfone Max is the same old Zenfone Max – big, heavy and long lasting but with an upgraded chipset, Android Marshmallow OS and double the storage. Going back to the basic question of ergonomics, the device best suites people who can carry big...

ASUS Zenfone Max Review: Gets Me 2X Battery Life

With 5000mAh battery, the Zenfone Max gets me double the usage time compared to other smartphones I've tried. Great phone for heavy users.

While the external charging feature might be a gimmick, its 5000 mAh battery is real. The budget-spec Zenfone Max is not a blazing performer, but will satisfy consumers who use the device for long periods without worry of recharging.
