Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra Review

Asus has lost the Zenfone's compact USP with the Zenfone 11 Ultra, and as such, it struggles to stand out.

Unique 6-axis stabilisation system ; Refreshingly customisable approach to Android ; All-day battery life

Massively overheats when playing demanding games ; Rather average camera setup ; Only 2 OS upgrades planned

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra removes the one USP of previous entries in the Zenfone series – the compact form factor. With this big-screen release, Asus struggles to stand out from the flagship competition, while overheating issues and a disappointing...

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra review: a stylish Android phone with a large footprint

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a decent Android phone, and much larger than previous Zenfone models

Powerful processor ; Stylish design ; Top notch videography

Older wireless charging ; Camera can feel over-sharpened ; Very little personality

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is unquestionably a capable Android phone. Underneath, it's pretty much the same as the Asus ROG Phone 8, and we absolutely loved that! Here, you'll find a more refined personality which is competent, if a little devoid of...

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a frustratingly familiar phone

The 11 Ultra is a lot like Asus' own ROG Phone 8 Pro gaming phone, meaning it loses some of the appeal of earlier Zenfone handsets

Superb performance ; Gorgeous 6.78-inch display ; Strong battery life ; Premium design

Not the best cameras ; Only two OS updates ; Big and bulky

The Zenfone 11 Ultra is a great all-rounder that undercuts Asus’ similar ROG Phone 8 Pro in price. Though there’s lots to like, the Ultra gives no clear reason to buy it over rivals, especially with limited software support.

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra review: bigger doesn’t mean better

A more mainstream take on the ROG Phone formula isn't what Zenfone fans were hoping for. The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra is a head-scratcher.

Rapid performance and long-lasting battery ; Streamlined styling ; Effective video stabilisation

Cameras can’t compete with rival flagships ; Stiff competition at this price ; Off-centre USB port breaks accessory compatibility

A powerful and long-lasting Android phone – but with size no longer on its side, the Zenfone 11 Ultra lands in a sea of superior rivals.

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra

  (Rating Hidden)

The Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra looks like a very well-equipped smartphone on paper, and it has support for 5G and Wi-Fi 7. But do these high-level specs translate into great performance in the field, or could you find better alternatives? We sent it to the...

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra review

The Zenfone 11 Ultra is here, and it's a lot more than we expected. Quite literally even - its large size took us by surprise. It's not extra large, but...

IP68-rated body with no-nonsense design.

No charger in the box.

Other than that, we have nothing but praise for the Zenfone 11 Ultra. It is a superb device all around, worthy of rubbing shoulders with the best and most popular premium phones currently out there. Here's hoping it brings Asus some much-needed market...

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra review: just another big phone

The Zenfone is everyone's favorite small-ish Android phone , except this year, it's not: the Zenfone has gone Ultra.

Excellent battery life ; Top-notch performance ; Fully water and dust resistant

Inconsistent camera performance ; Doesn’t work on Verizon ; Heavy

Maybe if it had an outstanding camera or it had better network support in the US or, I don’t know, a thoughtful form factor unlike anything else on the market. The Zenfone 11 Ultra does plenty of things well but isn’t great in any one way. As it...

Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra Review: A ROG Phone without the sparkle?

The Zenfone goes Ultra! Asus attempts to go neck in neck with the big boys.

ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra review: Should you buy it?

Armed with power user specs and a gargantuan display, the ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra takes Zenfone in a bold new direction.

Nicely built ; Universal fast charging ; Good AI features ; Video stabilization and bokeh ; Sleek, stock-like software ; Handy back-tap gestures

Inconsistent cameras ; No 4K recording on all lenses ; So-so update policy

ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra review: a flagship fone you might overlook - but shouldn't

ASUS upgrades its flagship fone to new heights.

High level of performance ; Excellent battery life ; Future AI features

Slightly unexciting ; Crimes against spelling

An excellent phone... er, we mean fone, albeit one that lacks the ‘wow’ factor you see in other flagships. Conservatively designed but well-specced and responsive, this year’s ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra has a bigger screen, thinner bezel and larger battery...
