iPhone 5S debuted Apple's newfangled fingerprint sensor and 64-bit processor three years ago, and it's still a viable smartphone for anyone on a budget. It's held up well enough with a good camera and iOS 10 software update.

Once again, the new iPhone confounds expectations. The iPhone 5s beats the LG G2 for sound quality and produces a perfectly good picture despite the smaller screen, while iOS7 is both beautifully designed and bursting with long-awaited functions.

The iPhone 6 is a great smartphone but isn't a must have upgrade if you have an iPhone 5s as the upgrades are fairly minimal. If you don't mind the smaller screen, the iPhone 5s remains a decent buy with Touch ID, a great camera and solid performance....
