beaters were peeling out of the box. even after buying a year ago sunbeam sent me out a new set. thanks. i love this mixer and use it for cookies all the time. it holds up well and came with a bowl.

Don't bother. I suggest if you want to buy one of these things, get it from a store where you can pick it up and and feel it. This one is flimsy and bends easily.

Another reviewer caught the only, and fortunately fatal, flaw in the design. There is no "slow" speed. This thing just runs too darn fast. Not enough variety in the speeds. I love the reel in cord and look, but it fails as a mixer. I'm going Kitchen Aid.
