Not dishwasher safe. I would recommend the KitchenAid coated as it is. I only wash my coated (white) on the top rack laying it on its side as the bottom rack (utensil basket) is to close to the heat source and gets too hot.

The ad claimed the 'box was bent' didn't mention at all that it had broken parts. The cover for the "HIGH VELOCITY" part on top was BROKEN off, yes completely BROKEN and not repairable because it was a cheap plastic thingy holding the metal cover on....
