i would give it a 5 but did not realise how heavy it would be. having said that, it has not let us down once, a very well made item, that functions very smoothly, the parts are easily dismantled to be clean and it still looks as good as new now.

the bummer about these caps is that they don't wash very well. these are more durable than the original black ones, but they start to smell after a while and it's really hard to clean under the inner rubber liner.

I have an Epicurean mixer with a 6.5qt bowl, and this beater fit perfectly (just make sure your bowl is properly snapped into place in the back if you have this mixer, or the beater will hit the sides).
