You can program in 3 stages (at least) of the cooking cycle. So, for instance, you can do 1. delayed start 2. fast heat to boil. 3. long simmer to cook. Other variations are possible.

It uses a Button Pad, not dials, which are faster and easier. However, dials would not allow for programming your cooking (see above). It depends what is important to you.

no turn table so you are not limited to size or round items some of my rectangular dishes which would not turn on a turn table fits a treat
