Panasonic NN-SD251W review

This solo microwave from Panasonic has a host of useful features to help you fit your cooking around a busy lifestyle. Not only does the NN-SD 251W allow multi-step programs, but you can also set it in advance to cook your meals while you're busy...

We have had this microwave purchased from John Lewis since December 2012 . it sits inside a cupboard with space either side and is operated with the cupboard door open. We have had no issues. I preferred the push button timer control on the previous...

Good, but some disadvantages

  (Rating Hidden)

This is a powerful microwave, quiet in operation, and cooks evenly and wellMy main gripes are:1. The timer is a rotary control which I find more difficult to set than the push-button variety.1. The timer works in 10-second intervals, then from 3...

Update of my review

After a month of email exchanges with Panasonic they agreed that John Lewis should replace the microwave. It's just been delivered so I will be interested to see if this one is of greater quality. I still like the ease of use, the fact it's quiet and...

I would give this product 0 stars if i could and 0 stars for Panasonic and 0 stars for John Lewis.I bought this microwave from John Lewis as I was tempted by their free 2 year warranty. The first one they delivered had a big dent in the case and a big...

It is quiet and yes it does make an unusual noise when it works. Unfortunately we experienced some sort of overload when using to cook for just 2 minutes on full power twice in the first 6 weeks of use.(NB It does require a large area free to one side...

A good microwave but the timer is a let down. To be able to time in only 10 second intervals is both inconvenient and potentially dangerous. For small quantities 10 seconds of 950w power is a lot. I'm surprised Which? missed this.

Hello Figgerty, thanks for posting. Apologies for the confusion over the size of plate you can fit inside this microwave. I've looked again at the internal dimensions and have amended the information we give online, in the product review and the...

Is the max plate size 27 or 31 cm?

  (Rating Hidden)

Which states that "It's worth noting that the Panasonic only takes dishes with a diameter of up to 27cm" but in the specification you show the max plate size as 31cm - which is correct?

Smart, easy to use and quiet microwave

Bought this to replace our Bosch micorwave which gave up the ghost after about 5 years. The Panasonic is easy to use, looks great (we have the stainless steel version, from Currys) and compared to our old Bosch, much much quieter. Also the powerful...
