You can use the Philips AquaTouch AT890 electric shaver dry, or with foam for a wet shave – great news if you value the flexibility of being able to choose between the convenience of dry and the closeness of wet. But does this electric shaver work...

Best shave I've ever had but after a little over three years, the power button stopped working and now it's as dead as a dodo. I'll try a Braun next time.

After less than two years the thing won't start. Now seeking replacement.

On the two Aqua Shaves I have had, the on/off switch has failed just after a year. My previous Philips lasted little longer so I am switching brand.

I have had this product for about 20 months and have been delighted with it. However the power switch has now failed. I took it back to my supplier (Peter Jones) who exchanged for a new an upgraded shaver.

Ok, I have had this for about a year and the on/off button on it has stopped working. It has now completely given up. So much for my theory of buying well so you don't have to buy twice !
