Plays every video format except the most common ones
Can play nearly every music and video file known to man, relatively inexpensive
No onboard WiFi
Two main things bother us about the WD TV Live, storage space and playing HD video. It's curious why a hard drive manufacture wouldn't include a hard drive in a media playback device, but not even one of them can be found in the series of media devices...

The WD TV Live streaming media player has much in common with its predecessor, the WD TV Live Hub. When the WD TV Live Hub came out, I thought it was the best network media player and streamer on the market. It has a clean menu system; can play movies,...

Plays every file i have tried so far. also my usb 3 1 TB hdd works fine with it in ntfs.
stays warm even on stand by (no problems so far though). if you plug a keyboard in its got certain keys in different places its in USA keyboard layout not UK layout.
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
robust and easy to set up. Does the work and plays all files so far
biggest paint point: sometimes does not log in to my pc and have to input the same username and password over and over again! a bit clunky on user experience sometimes subtitles do not play
Consumer review (reevoo.com)
Really versatile product- can handle loads if different file formats and most brilliantly can access media files off a hard drive plugged into my airport time capsule for Mac.
I don't recommend you ever switch off (just put it on standby) as it does take about 5 minutes to switch on and connect to the internet which is way too slow
