Great value ; Easy to navigate ; No-commitment access to Sky content ; Netflix

Now TV only streams in 720p for now ; No Amazon ; Interface a little slow

A great tool for non-committal Sky TV fans on a budget, the lack of Full HD content is a shame, but it's nice to finally see Netflix arrive on the platform.

Free-to-air TV and all four major catch-up channels ; Satellite-free Sky streaming ; Cheap but not nasty

720p only – you’ll need Sky Q for Full HD or better ; Subscriptions for Sports and Movies are still gonna cost you

720p streaming ain’t great, but otherwise the NowTV Smart Box will scratch that streaming itch

Sky Now TV Box review: Sky's updated streamer has a Netflix-sized hole, but it's only £15

Sky's added an Ethernet port to its little streamer, but there's still no access to Netflix or Amazon shows.

The £15 Sky Now TV Box is a cheap and easy-to-use way to get on-demand Sky programmes, as well as catch-up from terrestrial channels. The Ethernet port is a great addition.

There are no Netflix or Amazon Prime Instant Video apps. Sky services only stream in 720p resolution and movie rentals are standard-definition only.

Sky's new Now TV box is a dirt-cheap way to get on-demand movies and TV shows from Sky and UK terrestrial channels, but heavy-duty streamers will find the lack of Netflix and Amazon apps frustrating.
