Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max (2024) Review

Best Amazon Fire TV Stick, but is it the best value?

Speedy performance ; Excellent streaming ; Huge app selection ; All HDR formats supported

Expensive for a streaming stick ; Fastes performance is with Wi-Fi 6E router ; No High-Res audio support ; Favours Prime content at the expense of others

The best streaming stick Amazon has produced so far, with a top tier AV specs, excellent streaming and a speedy interface. But the Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2024 is not the best value at its RRP, at least not for UK customers

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max Review

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max delivers plenty of entertainment options, the super-helpful Alexa companion and flawless streaming performance

Excellent streaming performance ; UI speed improved over older models ; Bundle of entertainment apps ; Supports all major HDR formats ; Wi-Fi 6 compatible

Prime customers best served to get the most from it ; Some might not dig the amount of ads ; No High-res audio support ; £5 more expensive than standard Fire TV 4K

An excellent streamer and the best Fire TV Stick yet, the Fire TV Stick 4K Max offers plenty of entertainment options, the super-helpful Alexa and terrific streaming performance. Prime customers are best placed to reap the best performance though, and...

Amazon Fire TV Stick (2020) Review: A HD streamer in a 4K world

The Fire TV Stick with Alexa remote (2020) is another fine streaming player from Amazon. The addition of HDR is worth having, as is Atmos.

HDR and Atmos support ; Good picture quality ; Lots of apps ; Alexa remote ; Improved interface

HLG doesn’t appear to work ; Fairly Prime-centric ; Limited to 1080p resolution

What Hi-Fi? Awards 2020 winner. The benchmark for streaming sticks and great value

Supports all current HDR formats ; Dolby Atmos ; Impressive performance

Big and awkward for a stick ; Limited 4K HDR film selection

The best value 4K video streamer

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max review: still the streamer to beat?

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max retains its grip on top-quality streaming, but now with faster connectivity

Fast navigation ; Alexa voice searching ; All the streaming services covered

Leans towards Amazon's content ; Home screen recommendations not always on point ; Marginal performance boost over Fire TV Stick 4K

The Fire TV Stick 4K Max offers top quality, fast connectivity and the convenience of Alexa searching, all with a versatile remote too. It's a top-choice streaming device, with access to all the major services, while offering smart home functions and a...

Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max review

Amazon's latest inexpensive 4K streamer is familiar Fire TV territory

Good image detail ; Supports all HDR formats ; Competitive pricing

Not the cleanest, clearest picture ; Sound lacks dynamism

While there’s plenty to like about the Fire TV Stick 4K Max’s picture, it's just edged out by the competition, and it's further behind when it comes to sound.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max review

Pushing the streaming stick form factor to the max

4K HDR streaming ; Access to Amazon Luna ; Dolby Vision / Atmos / HDR10+ ; Voice remote with Alexa

Too many sponsored ads ; Homescreen previews are low-res ; Search still could be better ; Luna can be unstable

Amazon Fire TV Stick review

If you're an Amazon customer the Fire TV stick is a no-brainer, but does it have broad appeal?

Easy to use ; Speedy operation ; Low price

Missing Now TV and 4oD services ; Remote has no voice control ; Amazon hard-sell is a little strong

A lovely little streaming device and a no-brainer for Amazon customers

Amazon Fire TV Stick review: is this small streamer ready for the big league?

It may be small in size but this streamer is kind of a big deal

Tiny ; unobtrusive device ; Cheap ; Lots of content ; lots of apps

You really need to have Prime ; Needs a charger

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max review: Top dog for streaming?

The 4K Fire TV Stick is back - but how much has changed in this Max version and is it worth the upgrade?

Great remote ; Alexa integration ; Supports the latest standards ; Really slick and fast to use

No Google TV/Play Movies ; No support for Google Casting ; Discovery a bit heavy on the Amazon content

This stick offers one of the best ways to stream content: it's easy to use, there's access to loads of streaming services, and integration with Alexa's Skills means it does a little more than some.
