Although teetering on the edge of obsolescence, this tough old Freeview STB has been re-priced aggressively to bring it within anyone’s budget. Buy one before tech museums snap up the last few for exhibits. Humax F2-Fox is tagged with Humax, freeview...

Reception and ease of use are brilliant.

I can't reliably get information about programmes. However, this may be my fault for siting the box near a microwave.

I would like some means of defragmenting the HDD, It can be formatted,but this means losing all recorded programs, even those I would like to keep

Clear features (signal strength etc.) ,smart-looking box, good range of features if you need them (I don't). Not as good as a Sony but good value for money.

Occasionally, especially late at night, have to wait for a few seconds for sound to catch up with vision which is annoying. Has frozen three times and have had to switch power off to reset.

set up is easy but have experienced conflicts with overall control through the handset which results in frequently having to reset it all. This is annoying.

Easy to setup, good remote, good picture quality even on 4:3 TV, sensitive tuner, picks up all available channels.. Haven't had to reset it once yet, seems to be reliable.

A bit pricey compared to other Freeview boxes, larger than most
