Tokina AT-X M100 PRO AF D 100 mm f/2.8

We have already tested two lenses of macro class 100 mm. Those were: Tamron SP AT 90 mm f/2.8 Di Macro and Sigma 105 mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro. They both went well in the tests and set high standards. That is why we were very curious what has to offer the...

using it on a Nikon D7000. i could not ask for a better lens at this price. it is a darling.

excellent sharpness & Color rendition. a great portrait lens too. great bokeh

if only Tokina could add a vibration reduction to it. sigh

Tokina AT-X M100 PRO AF D 100 mm f/2.8

I got this for use with my D70 and it has seen heavy use in botanical photography. For the money, this has been an excellent performer with both the D70 and my recently-adopted D700.

Razor-sharp macro with good low-light performance. Pairs very well with FX as well as crop sensor bodies

No VR, could focus a little bit closer. Both of these are minor quibbles, as the lens tends to handle low-light well and focuses close enough in most cases
