Great everyday & travel lens

I have been looking for a good all around lens to replace my 18-55 and 55-200 Nikon lenses. This is a great fit. Good quality, compact compared to other lenses in this focal range. I have taken thousands of pictures with this lens since I purchased it....

Good bokeh. Light weight for a 270mm zoon lens. 1/2 the price of the Nikon 18-300mm and lighter weight. Great pictures.

Sometimes searches a bit to focus.

immediate impact!

It is light in relation to other lens we have tried and we now use this lens exclusively. In low light, without flash, the results have been remarkable. We use a Nikon D-90. The simple lock on the lens is great. We take many pictures (21 grandchildren...

None that we have found.... Primarily it is our lack of knowledge in using the non automatic features of camera & lens.

Very good all purpose lens. Quality built. Got the rebate in about 3 weeks.

Great Buy!

I am glad I listened to an experienced photographer, he saved me a bunch of money by recommending this Tamron 18-270mm lens for my Nikon D5100. I returned some locally purchased lenses keeping my kit lens as a backup. I then purchased a Tamron Macro...

Only Need One Lens

Much of the time I'm on my motorcycle with my camera and don't have room for a gadget bag. This is the only lens I have ever needed.

Zoom creep is a pain I have to put up with.

What's not to like

I got this lens to replace the original Tamron 18-270 which I loved, and which is now attached to my daughter's camera. I was stoked to learn of a smaller, lighter version of this lens, since I travel a lot for work, and I like to take my camera along....

None that I can think of.

I love the convenience of this lens. I allowed me to leave the original camera lens back home while I traveled to Thailand and South Korea
