Build quality is not as good as I had hope as it felt like cheap plastic especially with the hood. But then again, you're not using it to hammer a nail, so that shouldn't be an issue

This lens was regarded as about the best for a sony camera in it's price bracket, and after two weeks, I would agree totally.

The manual focus ring cannot be used if the lens hood is in it's backward storage position.

Does not seem to focus sometimes so have to take a few pictures to hope to get one that is in focus.

I suppose some people would consider this lens heavy. Personally I appreciate the weight. Conveys build quality and value!
