The Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* FE 55mm F1.8 ZA captures sharp, lovely images, but it's not a budget lens.

Extremely sharp from edge to edge. Negligible distortion. Wide f/1.8 aperture. Excellent build quality.

Expensive. Not optically stabilized.
