Sturdy reliable performer.

 

I use the 70-300 on a Canon 1ds full frame and they are very compatible. I am unable to comment on a crop camera.

Poor Sharpness

 

I purchased this lens for use on my 5D MK11 and my 7D. Sharpness at the short end is good but above 200mm it is poor on both my camera bodies. As I needed it for the longer telephoto end, I am disappointed with it.
