Sigma 28 mm f/1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro

The increased popularity of APS-C digital reflex cameras created a problem with standard lens. In small format analogue photography a standard lens meant an instrument with 50 mm focal length and 1.4-1.8 aperture. Connected to digital reflex cameras,...

good image quality in the frame centre from f/2.8 aperture ; low chromatic aberration ; low distortion ; quite good work against bright light ; solid housing ; minimal focus already from 20 cm ; rich standard accessory kit ; 3+2 years of guarantee

very weak image quality near the maximum relative aperture ; unacceptable performance at the edge of full frame practically at all aperture values ; visible coma and high astigmatism ; huge vignetting on full frame ; noisy and unreliable autofocus ;...

Sigma 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 DG Macro

This lens from Japanese manufacturer Sigma is their answer to a ‘do everything' lens. With a zoom ratio of nearly 11x it covers everything from wide angle on a full frame sensor to long telephoto on a cropped sensor. We take a look at how it performs.

Huge focal range; Compact and lightweight to carry; Good performance through the short end; Good value for money

Softens a tad at the longer settings

Huge focal range; Compact and lightweight to carry; Good performance through the short end; Good value for money

Chromatic abberations around the edges at the longer lengths; Softens a tad at the longer settings

If you need a general purpose lens to carry on your camera, and don't use the long end that often but would like to have the option there without changing lenses, this could well be the item you are after. Good performance through the shorter half of...

Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG MACRO Lens (Pentax Mount)

This Sigma 28-300mm F3.5-6.3 DG MACRO digitally optimized lens covers all the focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 300mm telephoto with 10.7:1 high zoom ratio as well as macro capability. The new multi layer lens coating and lens design reduce flare...

The new multi layer lens coating and lens design reduce flare and ghost, which is a common problem with digital cameras and also creates an optimum color balance through the entire zoom range. This lens features two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass...

Sigma 28 mm f/1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro

i use this lens very often on my NEX and it performs very well.. MF only, so i cant say anything about AF, very cheap to get

very good image Quality, nice Bokeh, very good Macro range for MF(very easy to focus on short distances), relatively fast

MF/AF switch feels wobbly, MF is very hard on the longer range as the scale is so short..(1m-infinty are too close together)

Sigma 28 mm f/1.8 EX DG Aspherical Macro

This is my most used lens. A good alternative for obsolete Nikkor AF28/1.4 or MF35/1.4, nice close-up focusing and good colors, not too prone to flare. Try to test one before buying, older copies tend to focus wrong on new bodies. Well balanced...

Resolution, even at f/1.8 excellent results!, sturdy, not too big, resonable distortion

MF-switch, feels a bit loose when shaken, AF-problems, light falloff

Simply wonderful

I am well aware that third party lenses can be hit and miss sometimes, Sigma in particular seem to have certain issues with canon compatibility on occasion.I\'ve been lucky enough to have only had excellent copies of their lenses and although many...
