A cracking little lens with fast auto focus great depth of field and the picture quality is fantastic. Very please with this purchase.

Ease of use. Very good optics. Was purchased to fill a gap between 17 and 70mm. Have a Canon 70 to 200mm lens which is probably the best Canon lens made and this Sigma lens comes a close second. Good price.

Should really come with a case. Wish the lens cap and sun hood were better fitting as per the Canon lense, but this is similar with all Sigma lenses.

Really sharp and easy to use

Half the price of the similar lens from the Canon L series - yet results so far have been very impressive. Build quality is good, picture quality much better than older Sigma lenses. Canon L series lenses are a dream with a nightmare price - this Sigma...

It's not a Canon - which I have always tried to buy but which was out of reach for what I wanted this time. A protective case would have been nice!

Good bokeh, useful focal range, comes with lens hood, fits well with body.

Maybe a lower aperture in bokeh was wanted (blurred backgrounds)

The exposure metering was very inaccurate when fitted to my camera (Nikon D5200), and there is no firmware upgrade to correct this problem. There seems to have been Sigma/Nikon metering issues more generally judging by comments on the internet, but...

Good starter lens I would say better than the normal kit lenses I normally use my camera in AV mode and have no problems I bought this separately with a new camera body as it had a longer range than the kit lens and a lower Fstop
