Want an excellent Macro? Then Buy this

I have had this lens for 9 months now and it is stunning! It is sharp, VERY well built, and has a great, accurate colour rendition. One big advantage over the Pentax 100mm DFA is the limited focussing range option, so you can restrict the AF focus....

sharp, fast, light, limited focus option, build, great for portraits too

lack of af/mf clutch, noisy af (a pentax legacy), easy to switch the mf ring., not much else

One of my fave lenses!

I have used this lens for about 12 months - it's a great piece of kit. For macro work then lens produces tack sharp images with a very smooth background blur (very useful in portraits too). The focal legth of 105 give a great working distance from...

image quality, great bokeh

slow autofocus, clumsy manual focus procedure

good value, sharp between f5.6-f16, feels solidly built

glare, mechanical components wear quickly

very easy to use, excellent build quality, comes with it's own case, adjustable aperture

no autofocus on nikon d60

I have had this lens for a couple of years now and am always surprised at the quality of the results I manage to get. I bought it for macro work, flowers, insects etc, but was pleasantly surprised to discover what an excellent portrait lens it turned...
