I used this lens with a 70D in a safari in Serengeti and the pictures are fantastic sharp. You can see the hairs on a leopard that was 30 meters away. The focus is super fast and almost silent

It is a heavy lens since it is a full frame lens, but there is none available in this zoom range in the DX format that could be lighter
