Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm F3.5 Macro

The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm F3.5 Macro lens lets you lock on to the tiniest of details, but a short working distance casts a shadow on subjects.

Crisp images from edge to edge. Minimal distortion. 1.25:1 macro capability. Inexpensive.

Dimmed corners at wide apertures. Omits focus limiter function. Short working distance makes lighting tricky. No weather sealing.

At the time of writing, if you're interested in macro shooting you only have Olympus and Panasonic options in the Micro Four Thirds mount: Sigma has a few Micro Four Thirds "DN" optics available, but nothing in a dedicated macro design.

Olympus 30mm f3.5 M.ZUIKO Digital ED Macro Micro Four Thirds

I have the 60mm macro but tried this lens on a recent Olympus Experience Day at Kew Gardens and loved it. It is so much fun to use, more flexible than the 60mm macro and image quality is excellent.
