Fits easily on to my D5200, on the limit of what could be considered suitable without a tripod.

It gives me 450mm on the D7100 which is great for wildlife photography. It also makes me future-proof should I ever switch to FX. A really good lens for the money for the serious hobbyist.

This Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6 G AF-S VR IF-ED Lens in comparison to other lenses of same range and focal length is far superior. The cost of the lens is well justified and is a great all round lens.
