Nikon AF-S VR Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED

 

Price not withstanding this might be one of the better lenses Nikon has to offer. It can take regular snapshots and make them incredible The zoom is fast and the stabilization that the lens offers to the photographer all but offers a great picture....

F2.8 plus VR is perfect for action shotsBokeh quality is the best aroundQuality styling and features make it a worthwhile lens for pros

Size makes it difficult to carry aroundMay be too expensive for a beginner photographers

Best Nikon Action lens there is

 

Beach Camera provided the lens on time and in great condition. This lens is hands down one of the best zoom lens for action photos for either day or night time photography. It is bit heavy but any decent Sport zoom is going to be.

Outstanding for protraiture or sports!!!

 

I've used this lense for football games and most sports,a wedding, and during football team photos. What a great lense! Only thing is, it does get a little heavy after a while. That's ok with me. You get what you pay for! Great photographs are easy...

Worth the price, worth the wait.

 

For those wanting to capture action moments under less than ideal light conditions, this is the way to go. Sure, the lens is hefty, but that is the trade-off for quality of this magnitude. The 2.8 aperture allows for great shots at reasonable speeds...

Great Lens, a keeper

 

I use this lens for nature and wildlife shots. Great performance in low light conditions. Serious shots, I have to use a pod due to it's weight, but the results are well worth it.

I got the 70-200 to do indoor volleyball/basketball pictures. Coupled with my new D700 this lens and camera are giving me great shots.

not as good as I expected

 

I thought I would be able to get great car racing shots with this lens with the action feature on my nikon and this fast speed, but the results were no better than my canon film camera and a 200 mm lens. lots of money for a disappointment
