Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR

The Nikon 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G AF-S VR offers a good focal range, built-in VR (Vibration Reduction) and sturdy build-quality.

nikon 70-300vr

Considering the price tag you get a very good lens for your hard earned cash. Ok its not a pro lens but it still has a nice feel to it, its well made, quite sharp and fast focusing. The silent wave motor makes it very quiet and overall a very good lens...

Excellent value for money

Bought mine as a parallel import for less than 230GBP in New Zealand. Well worth the "no Nikon warranty risk" in my opinion."Plasticky" build and feel reflects budget price, but smooth in zoom/focus operations though, especially with its perky HSM...

worth buying..

it is very good lens. VR helps a lot..(i was able to take some very sharp phoyos at 300mm on a cloudy day with shutter speed 1/50!). build quality is superb. it is pin-sharp 70-200 and bery sharp at 300mm.. i found just a little bit 'purple fringing'...

Value for $$

I have owned this lens for approx. 2 months and it rarely is off my camera (Nikon D80). Balance on the D80 is very good, even at full extension. Focus is very quick and produces excellent detail and contrast in good light. The VR works as advertised.

Great Lens for the Money

I bought this lens about two months ago and it is great. My copy is very sharp out to 300mm. The VRII performs excellently and I particularly like the active setting for landholding the lens at 200mm - 300mm. Nikon makes better lenses but not at the...

Nikon 70-300mm

The lens offers a very good zoom range for the price but is let down considerable by its max aperture. The clarity from the lens is good up until half way through the zoom range but nearer the top extent it does begin to really lose clarity and...

Amazing

I think this is the best telephoto lens i have. It produces some great quality photos and the VR really helps with low light conditions.

Great Choice

This is a great choise for most newcommers wanting something to add to their standard kit lens.I toyed with this and the more expensive 80-200 f2.8 (£1000 +).So far I have nothing bad to say about the choice I made.Dave.
