fast focus, the 2.8 aperture is excellent for low light photography, especially combined with the image stabeliser. For my first shoot with this lens I took picture of a band under stage lighting and got great shots.

pretty expensive but if you've got the money you won't regret buying.

Good range of F stops gives more flexabiliy to be more creative

Heavier than I thought & thus takes longer to change a lens.

I suppose this would be it's weight but there is a lot of glass in there.
