Great Laptop

now that all the hardware works i installed another gig of ram and its an amazing laptop. it even plays uto4 on high settings w/o a problem. this laptop does get hot. its like a small heater. i hope it last because i really love this laptop.

dual core amd & nvidia gfx best bang for the buck period.and it is a msi megabook, msi makes good stuff

it took 7 mins for it to start up with vista on it. i installed xp x64 professional, and then i spend all day today getting the drivers. none of the zt xp drivers are 64bit. so i finally found a modded nvida gfx driver and i used the nforce drivers for...

This reconfigured machine is running very well and for the price is right up there

After adding 1Gig of ram, swapping hard drive for a 7200 rpm type and installing Win XP pro 64 bit the machine runs exceedingly well. It appears to be a re-badged MSI mega book S430

ZT has a very awkward method of downloading drivers. This particular P/N doesn't register for their automated downloads and appears to be a discontinued model. I never did get to download anything from ZT. I went to OEM NVidia, MSI and AMD sites for...

Good build quality. Better than I expected. Soon as I get this touchpad driver situation resolved I'll be happier. I'm writing their tech support so hopefully it won't be long. Oh yeah and I'm running XP instead of Vista, first thing I did was...

Nice size, weight, and processing speed. I like the fact that it comes with a 1 gig stick of RAM installed so its easy to just buy 1 more stick (which I have done)

I hate this touchpad!!! Website doesn't have drivers for it and a synaptics general driver doesn't give any options. The only part of the touchpad that the synaptics driver controls is the scroll mouse portion of it

ZTMS1424 Notebook

I would buy this laptop again in a flash...it is an absolutely great unit.

Light, compact and having no problems with Vista. Wireless works extremely well. With the combo offer I got an additional GB of RAM which is great

Battery life is limited and sensitive touch pad - nothing else

Great performance & value

I installed WinXP Pro and added an additional 1 GB RAM (2 GB total) and this runs like a dream.

Great value for the money - add an extra 1 GB of RAM and this thing flies! The touchpad is the first I've used where I haven't had to turn off the "tapping" feature; it's a little less sensitive than most with a unique texture that, in my opinion,...

I haven't found any with the actual product yet; however the Newegg description lists this as having a type I/II PC Card slot. This is incorrect - this laptop has an Express Card slot and there's a big difference. If your only means of internet access...

Hardware is good, but Vista bites

this review is for the laptop and not vista so there are still 5 eggs for this laptop. I currently dual-boot this beast between kubuntu and WinXP Pro and both perform very well, if you NEED windows, dump vista and toss XP on this laptop and you will...

Fast 64-bit dual core, DUAL-CHANNEL MEMORY CAPABLE, 1GB of RAM included, beautiful non-glossy display, nice size hard drive, USB on BOTH sides of the laptop (big plus!), plays world of warcraft in WinXP fine ; Also, ZT's email customer service is very...

i can't seem to get the wireless to work in any linux distribution i have tried (Fedora7, Debian4 and K/X/Ubuntu), Vista sucks so much and ZT WILL NOT refund any of their OEM software, Video card will only run about 18 fps in WoW in Crossover on linux
