Dont buy Toshiba

You can get basic functions to work- network, sound, video. beyond that don't waste your time fighting to get it back to its original state after replacing the junk stock hard drive.

The only good thing is the A10 Chip ; Get ready for problems when the cheap hard drive fails

Here is what will happen when the cheapo hard drive fails ; No support-because your serial will have rubbed of the bottom of the laptop ; You get to buy windows again ; Put in the new hard drive and load windows 7 ; Now for the fun and the reason I...

Good

Buy a black 7200 rpm WD drive with a 5 year warranty when this fails. Or a top rated solid state drive.

Does what it was bought for ; Good battery life ; Good for games

The hard drives are junk. Failed and lost all data ; That being said, all hard drives will fail ; But these drives have a high failure rate and slower rotational ; speed ; Serial and model numbers will rub off the bottom of the laptop in short order,...

TOSHIBA S875D-S7239

I have had this laptop for 6 months now and overall it has worked well. It has enough processor power to handle everything but graphic intensive games (MMO raid settings where a huge number of effects need processing at once or where a large number of...

It does generate a high amount of heat. You should get a cooling had with an external fan to be safe. Also, the default Toshiba blue-ray player application is the worst I have ever used. It locks up if you try to skip more than one chapter and is very...

Monitor failed in less than 1 month

I'm sure hardware fails routinely, I did not expect that I wouldn't be able to get my files off (although I knew I should have backed up), but I do find it pretty frustrating that I have to pay to ship it to them.

Light for its size which doesn't really matter if you can't see anything

Upon first use I noticed a stuck pixel (it was in the corner so I could live w/it). After just over a month, the monitor completely failed. It wouldn't even send a signal out to two other external monitors making it impossible to get ; The BEST PART...

A really good deal!

I reall think that AMD are on the right path with their A series CPUs, and im hopefull they will continue in devolping these. Sepnding $750 on a notebook that can play games that gaming notebooks can at 3/4 of the price is just an amazing idea. Kudos...

I got this notebook because a friend had an older A6 and played Skyrim on High with the HD Textures. I was really impressed, and i really do think AMD hit spot on with this new APU technology. This Notebook NOT haveing a graphics card and being able to...

There is only 2 things i can think of. 1. Keep watch of the power cord connected to the device. Its kinda dodgy and is prone to breaking on the inside of the computer. 2. Its came with 6GB of RAM which isnt bad but i have OCD and i like to match them...
