LCD screen breaks "like that"

The computer otherwise functions acceptably

The LCD screen has broken twice in less than a year (colored vertical lines): I assume this has to do with moving the laptop about (I take my laptop to class, but always in a sleeve and in a shoulder bag, so I hardly think I'm too rough on the old...

Note on previous review

My previous complaints regarding the keyboard layout have been answered. There is a bios setting to address the ctrl-fn key layout, as well as swapping the function keys with the special keys functions. Fantastic. I'm loving this laptop thus far,...

Can't think of much of anything. No onboard bluetooth, if that's of any concern. Still haven't tried out the web cam

Good

Was looking for a 12-13" screen, cheap, light, decent battery, fairly light. This seems to fit the bill pretty well so far, glad I purchased it.

Really like the keyboard itself so far, with a couple major annoyances as far as key placement (see cons). The feel of typing is great ; Battery life seems decent so far ; Really like the design, no annoying led lights/symbols/etc, very clean design ;...

My main annoyance so far is that the left ctrl key isn't in the far bottom left...rather the function key is, with the ctrl key just to the right of it. I'm used to doing ctrl hotkey combinations and find myself always hitting the Fn key instead, which...

it is what it is.

The little red nub in the middle of the keyboard can be a little annoying at times but it's really not a big deal.

First impressions taking it out of the box, it had me smiling. It's a very thin machine, light and the plastic is really sturdy ; Keyboard is solid ; Screen is very bright ; Battery life can hold from 3 to 5 hours ; A surprisingly fast machine ; It can...

Comes packed with a lot of useless software from the manufacturer ; Recovery is a partition of the Hard drive. This is an okay feature until your hard disk fails. Also, no CD drive for a recovery so you'll have to make a pen drive recovery

Highly UNDERated

After reading several online reviews i was unsure of the performance and build quality of this laptop, after purchasing i was pleasantly suprised. The performance of this is more than i could possibly expect from a $450 laptop. I have had no issue...

Amazing Keyboard, Trackpad and Trackpoint, Excellent performance for the price. Ultra light, decent battery life

Completely different from what you'd expect from a Thinkpad, The entire case is of a different material not the classic rubberized nearly bulletproof finish. Glossy Screen, some people like them i however do not. Minor issue for me, the power plug is...
