Sony Vaio SA41FX/BL review

The Sony Vaio S comes really, really close to being a great laptop. The size is right; the keyboard, excellent; it's a clean design, and it's reasonably lightweight. So, what's wrong?

The Sony Vaio SA41FX/BL has a compact size and plenty of upgrades: dedicated AMD graphics, optional Blu-ray, a fingerprint reader, HD Webcam, and higher-def 1,600x900-pixel display.

Unless you buy the sheet battery, battery life falls below that on equivalent alternatives; also, the entry price is high.

The 13-inch Sony Vaio SA41FX/BL has plenty of features and optional bells and whistles for a compact laptop, but it falls a bit short on battery life and price to be a must-have product.

Ok notebook with issues

The product does not live up to expectation. This could be a great product but due to obvious design and part issues it does not represent a 900 dollar plus investment. Sony loaded it with the typical virus software we all know and that diminished...

Fast processor speed and good graphics. Screen is ok but backs are washed and hazy. It will play FPS games well and seems fast and capable. It is lightweight and has a nice feel.

I have the SI (silver) the glare from the backlit keys is horrible to the point of turning it off. Logon is almost impossible due to key stroke inputing multiple characters. Web cam is horrible in low light and not much better in good lighting.

Great machine, sleek look and design, long battery life

The review is wrong about the battery life, it is actually 6-7 hours , not 4. I am not sure why CNET would lie about this?. I own one and it is a great machine.

good battery life " 6 - 7 hours very light sleek design

external monitor support is poo, had to purchase a USB monitor adaptor to get high resolution output (1900 x 1600)+
