Sony VAIO CS review: Sony VAIO CS

Sony VAIO CS

Attractive design; good keyboard and touch pad; useful media control buttons.

Poor battery life; smaller hard drive than similarly priced laptops.

Sony makes a handful of even cheaper laptops, but the CS215J/W hits good compromise between design, features, and price among sub-$900 systems.

Sony VAIO CS Review

The build quality of the VAIO CS is a mixture of durable alloy panels and flexible plastic bezels. If you were only going to look at the bottom of the CS, you would see excellent build quality with very rugged panels covering vital components. The...

Good paint quality ; Solid keyboard and chassis ; Cool pulsing light bar ; Decent battery life

None of the plastic used feels durable ; No HDMI or eSATA

Sony uses a large Synpatics touchpad on the VAIO CS, with is comfortable to use, but shows signs of some lag. Making quick movements side to side or around in a circle it almost seems like the refresh rate isn’t high enough. It isn't too noticeable,...

Bad

The 1997 Toshiba laptop with Windows 95 I have is more reliable than the Vaio. I love the look of it, but on the practicality side/operating, I do not recommend it.

The colours available make it a stunning laptop.

I have had nothing but problems. My one constantly turns itself off, freezes, gets critial error messages and is overall very over priced for the machine on offer. It heats up more than any other laptop I have used. I had to have the fans and complete...

Terrible

I have a SONY VIAO CR model VGN-CR35g model Red in colour. Absolutely the most crap piece of machinery that I have bought. I was a spontaneous purchase and I should have done my research first. I wanted to buy the HP or Compaq and walked out with this...

The colour that's about it.....

Everything.... over heating.....the mouse button wore quickly have to click it in a specific spot to work. And as for the battery life... it shit itself just after the 12month warranty. What do you know! Never buy another sony of anything ever again.
