Packard Bell Dot S2 - 10.1in Netbook

We check out Packard Bell's Pine Trail sequel to its stylish Dot S netbook.

Great keyboard ; Comes with neat accessories

Poor viewing angles ; Drab design ; No HDMI output

it's a shame you're stuck with a lower 'sub-HD resolution' for the screen. But if you're willing to spend a little more then the likes of the the SonyVAIO Mini W and the Dell Mini 10 - to name just a couple - are available with 1,366 x 768 screens....

Packard Bell Dot S2 review

Packard Bell update their netbook line-up with a neat machine sporting some cool features

Stylish design ; Highly portable ; Excellent battery ; Great usability ; Good screen ; Adobe's Photoshop Elements included

Performance is limited

This Packard Bell netbook definitely stands out from the crowd. With it's low price, stylish design and it's usability the Dot S2 is one of the best second generation netbooks we've seen

Overall, the Packard Bell has plenty of raw performance and if you are prepared to accept a few compromises this is possibly the best £400 deal you’ll find right now. Gamers should steer clear, though, but if you’re looking for something that will...
