WELL I'm Back I guess

WHAT OTHER THOUGHTS WELL for starters I've found out the VID is better than an NVIDIA Geforce GT 9650 M {higher clocked} I was checking . Notrbookcheck. AND YOU can up grade the Video card.I'd heared of it before but when I got in there I started to...

I'm BACK, I guess, with an up date for all you KIDS. and if you think your to old or what not to be a kid ; well there's just this to say, 1} your here, a realy big kids candy store ,and 2}your here to PLAY ,I know this for a fact,or you would simply...

WELL IT"S STILL KINDA BIG ,but with three drives and ; three Video cards and a cooler that goes from the front bottom of the case to the tellephone jacks than an otherfoot and a half in three tubes, two over the CPU ; and the small vid card ,and one...

REALLY SOMETHING OR ???

My cousin saw the one I was building for myself and he got just a little nuts about it,so I built him one for his birth-day. He's just plain ga-ga for it.

HI ; I've read a few of these over the years, and now I'm ; doing one. With all the whinning I thought this might be not a great idea, but I followed my nose with OCZ ; and well IT'S JUST GREAT. Every thing I read about the ; 17 B1US being a proublem...

Well I guess there must be something to complain about, so here it is .....IT'S A LITTLE BIG, but then they have to put the 17 in screen some where !!! Oh and that eight cell ; battery takes some space too

pretty decent for the price

overall, if you know what you're doing, this laptop is good. Put in a fast SSD for your OS and programs and a big regular HD for everything else and you'll be happy. After installing the CPU, make sure you re-lock the socket before re-attaching the...

nice 17" screen, decent gaming card (Nvidia GT 130M), ability to switch between low-power Intel graphics card and the Nvidia card on the fly (for better battery life vs gaming performance), BluRay reader, bluetooth, wireless, webcam, RAID, DDR3-1066

Keyboard is kinda wonky..left Shift button is half Shift and half "\". Also, the "Caps Lock" button is huge and is right above the left Shift and I hit it by accident all the time. I guess it's not a huge deal but takes a little getting used to ;...

OCZ OCZDIY17B1-US Intel GM45 17" Notebook Barebone

I wish I had spent more time on OCZ's forum and read Neweggs reviews. I probably would bought a another brand. The new Intel i 5 or 7 would be a better deal. Either way, you are going spend $1000+.

The laptop has great graphics, cheap price price, decent support. If you load Vista, all the drivers are included. Windows 7 shouldn't be a problem. The model I bought (not from Newegg) had b/g wireless and Bluetooth. You can download the list of...

The unit is rather cheaply made. I guess the price reflects that. Keyboard sucks bigtime. Relpacing the the wireless modem, if you want upgrade to draft N, it is next to impossible. You will tear up the strip to remove the keyboard to get at the modem....

OCZ OCZDIY17B1-US Intel GM45 17" Notebook Barebone

Go to the OCZ DIY forums and find thread titled "Getting New Drivers and BIOS Updates For OCZDIY17B1-US " for Windows 7 drivers. They're not official from OCZ but they work fine. 3DMark06- 6525 SuperPi 1M - 20 seconds

Picked one of these up at another online retailer for about $80 less than the egg. Sturdy and easy to work on. Put a P8600 2.4GHZ / WD black 160GB 7200rpm / single stick of 2G Crucial DDR3 1066 and loaded windows 7 64 on it. Works fine ; Decent screen,...

It's BIG. You wouldn't want to lug this thing around all day- but that's really not what it's designed for ; 2-3 hr battery ; The problem with barebones in general is the enthusiast doesn't have the buying power the big oem's do. If they do a run of 1k...

GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Cons are small compared to the pros, I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. Setup: Intel T9600 @ 2.8GHz (FSB 1066MHz) OCZ SODIMM PC3 8500 (1066MHz) 4GB Western Digital Scorpio Black 160GB (x2) Creative Sound Blaster x-fi notebook...

Great barebone! Simple to put together up and running within 1 hour. Almost everything you could want in a laptop, RJ-45, HDMI, VGA, s/pdif, webcam, mic, audio ports, 4 USB ports (including 1 e-sata/USB) and a card reader. Hybrid SLI works great for a...

keyboard isn't the greatest, because of the way the shift, enter and caps lock key are setup. Hybrid SLI and RAID is somewhat tricky, but nothing to stress out over. Also, the CD/DVD combo, the NIC card and the integrated sound are nothing special, but...

for all to see and understand

essentially, what a barebone laptop is, is right in the name. >bare< ok, now for some common sense break down. if this laptop is bare what could that mean? hmm... well to answer this question, it means it is missing some parts, which means you...

this is a great pc, and I had no problem with it at all. It is now my gaming rig, and though its not the greatest, its better than going to best buy

the keyboard is definitely a disappointment. but otherwise great laptop
