Motion Computing LS800 Tablet PC

The LS800 is the smallest Tablet PC to hit the market yet, but its high price, high heat, and short battery life detract from an otherwise cool product.

Pocket-size. Only 2.2 pounds. Mont Blanc feel to the pen. Good security suite.

Base gets hot. Expensive. Short battery life.

Motion Computing LS800

The LS800 measures a tiny 6.5 by 9.0 by 1.0 inches (HWD), and from a distance it looks more like a 5-by-7 picture frame than a PC. Because it's a slate, there's no keyboard, and it can easily slip into a coat pocket and fits comfortably in the palm of...

Motion LS800

This Motion LS-800 Tablet PC is an excellent device to use in aviation and as an everyday computer.

Ambient light sensor will automatically adjust screen for surrounding light, single button to switch between portrait & landscape modes, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, great screen readable in most lighting conditions, runs Windows applications

Can't use finger on screen must use included stylus, must be in SUSPEND or in OFF mode to warm-swap batteries, no built-in CD-ROM

There are many extra options that can be purchased including: docking station, extra and/or extended batteries, USB keyboards and much more.

Motion Computing LS800

It's hard to describe the Motion Computing's LS800 Tablet PC as anything other than a shrunken version of the company's flagship LE1600 slate. Put the two side by side and the LS800's "mini-me" status within the family hierarchy becomes even more...

On the software side, the LS800 comes with Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005. Motion adds a bunch of very useful utilities , such as the Dashboard, Windows Journal and Sticky Notes, and speech recognition. The Motion Pak (a steal at $34.99 and...
