Bamboo isn't just for panda bears..

 

Newegg (as per usual) leading the pack in not only price, availability, performance, but also shipping/customer service. Buy it - I'm glad I did.

I got this for an old laptop that gets very hot... used to not be able to watch a long movie on hulu because it'd flake out half-way through. Now it stays at a steady temperature no matter what it's doing. But most importantly, the laptop's fans are...

VERY quiet ; Standard-sized fans can be replace, so this should be the last laptop cooler you need to buy ; Efficient, keeps air moving at seemingly low battery investment

As it's made of bamboo, it's not the most comfortable thing to have on your lap. It's not _un_comfortable, but it's not like those cushioned ones either

The bamboo casing is beautiful, much better looking than the metal ones with LEDs all over them which look like they're Transformers or something. There are two USB ports on the back, and one is used to power the fans, so you give one and get one, not...

Good build design, very sturdy, three heights you can adjust it to, fans have good airflow and are and are so quiet that you cannot hear them

Bamboo Laptop Cooling Pad

 

I liked the wood over aluminum so when the wife puts it on her legs there are no sharp edges. There is no cold rush of metal to leg.

1) Quiet and cool ; 2) Design is such that I will have access to replace the fans sometime down the road ; 3) Design is such you do not have to concern yourself if you are blocking air intake or worry about scratching your leg or furniture
