Laptops are going through a change. But is it a kind of growing-up or that last pre-retirement crisis? Machines like the Lenovo Yoga 900 and Microsoft Surface Book want us to believe it's more the former than the latter.

Ultra portable, versatile hinge, plenty of power, good battery life

The Lenovo Yoga 900 is the laptop that has it all in many ways. It looks good, feels good, lasts for a good while off a charge and has lots of power on tap.

Lenovo Yoga 900 laptop review: King of the hybrid hill

The latest Yoga adds a serious boost to performance and battery life.

The Lenovo Yoga 900 keeps the slim watchband-style hinge from last year's version, and adds major upgrades to performance and battery life. Even the lowest-cost version includes a big 256GB SSD.

Because of the change to more powerful processors, the body adds a little thickness. A few keys on the keyboard suffer from awkward placement.

Lenovo clearly listened to feedback about last year's high-end Yoga, keeping the excellent overall design but boosting the specs to match other premium 13-inch laptops.
