Lenovo Yoga 7i 14-inch Tiger Lake Laptop Review: Core i5-1135G7 Debut

Lenovo's new mid-range 14-inch convertible comes with the latest 11th gen Intel parts and even Thunderbolt 4 compatibility for a little under $1000 USD. Its specifications are great on paper, but let's see how the machine actually performs.

easily upgradeable M.2 SSD and WLAN;well-calibrated display out of the box;high quality aluminum chassis;two Thunderbolt 4 ports;great CPU performance;respectable battery life;generally quiet

display could be brighter for better outdoor visibility;slower-than-expected graphics performance;keyboard feedback could be firmer;RAM is not user-upgradeable;could be lighter or smaller;no integrated HDMI;no Windows Hello

Although I also own intel high spec quad cores any older i7 Dual cores are only 20% behind and besides all intel chips work on a base cloch speed of 800MHz No other ultrabook has dedicated graphics of either the 840m or 940m

was supplied with very slow 5400 HD waste of time changed to 1tb SSD but it also has a M.2 (2242) SSD slot that can also be upgraded and used as a main HD. Sometimes the tablet mode refuses to switch back in to normal mode.

Cheap for the spec. Nice touchscreen and great being able to fold screen over to become like a tablet. Performance is fantastic. Mine is the i7 with ssd model and I upgraded it to W10, for free, and it starts in just a few seconds.

Design is archaic, very plastic and cheap feeling and looking. This is the 2nd one as the first was DOA. The screen wouldn't always come on. It's a common fault apparently. This one has done it a couple of times but I can live with it.
