Lenovo V330-15IKB review

Dying the death of a thousand cost cuts...

Decent 8th-gen processor ; Thunderbolt as standard ; Some useful expansion options

Poor screen ; Slow hard drive ; Limited battery life

The Lenovo V330 looks very attractive on paper and less wonderful close-up. With some minor tweaks, this could be a great machine, as the underpinning technology inside is first class.

Lenovo V330

Lenovo's V330 value laptop has minor appeal for office and SOHO users thanks to a comfy keyboard and deep connectivity, but its poky feel and mediocre screen dampen the deal.

Slim chassis. Keyboard is comfortable to use for extended periods. Physical webcam cover. Good port mix.

Performance feels sluggish in everyday use. Hyper-sensitive touchpad. "Anti-glare" display is shiny and reflective, as well as dim.

Bottom Line: Lenovo's V330 value laptop has minor appeal for office and SOHO users thanks to a comfy keyboard and deep connectivity, but its poky feel and mediocre screen dampen the deal.

The Lenovo V330 has solid performance packed in a sleek design, but its short battery life, dull display and slow hard drive weigh it down.

Sleek design; Comfortable keyboard; Solid performance
